Originally developed to meet Swiss military requirements, the P220 has been in service with military and law enforcement users since the 9mm variant was introduced in 1975. The .45 ACP P220 Combat and P220 Combat TB variants feature a flat dark earth finish on an alloy frame combined with a Nitron-finished stainless-steel slide. The Combat TB variant adds a threaded barrel to accommodate suppressors, while both versions retain the P220's single-stack magazine, DA/SA trigger, and the proven reliability that has
