The MK23 .45 ACP pistol was developed to meet US Special Operations Command’s Offensive Handgun Weapon System requirement. The MK23 Mod 0 has been in service since 1996. It is issued with a laser aiming module and suppressor. During testing, the pistols demonstrated a service life of over 30,000 rounds firing +P ammunition and exceeded 2,000 MRBS, with an average of 6,000 MRBS. The MK23 has an anti-corrosion fibre-reinforced polymer frame and universal mounting grooves for installing

accessories.
