The Px4 Storm SD (Special Duty) .45 ACP semi-automatic pistol was developed to meet the requirements issued by the US Special Operations Command for the planned Joint Combat Pistol project. These included weather resistance, three magazines (one nine-round flush and two ten-round extended), dark earth frame, extended barrel for threading, tactical case and additional accessories. It has been treated to withstand environmen-tal factors such as salt spray, mud, ice, sand and underwater
deployment.
