Introduced in 2010, the 9mm Beretta 92A1 is the latest model in the 92-pistol series, employed by military and law enforcement users worldwide, including the US DoD (see M9 entry). The 92A1 incorporates ambidextrous safety and reversible magazine release, an external hammer and a recoil buffer.
