The GSh-23 is a 23mm double-barrelled aircraft gun designed by KBP Instrument Design Bureau. The gun is designed to fire fragmentation mines, armour-piercing explosives and armour-piercing tracer shells from different types of aircraft and helicopters at air and ground targets. The gun can be used on the right or left feed and can be installed on Tu, MiG, Su and Yak aircraft and Mi and Ka helicopters. It is also produced in two modifications, the GSh-23L and the
GSh-23.
