The FN M3P is a 50cal single-barrel, high-rate-of-fire, fully automatic machine gun. It was designed, developed and manufactured by FN Herstal to be axially or coaxially mounted in a pod or open-air configurations in rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft. It is capable of providing both offensive and defensive firepower ranging out to nearly 1,850m and is designed to provide high firepower and firing rates while being easy to
maintain.
