The AGM-65 Maverick is a tactical air-to-ground missile (AGM) designed for close air support. It is part of a family of missiles designed to kill hardened/high-value targets, as well as moving/manoeuvring targets and ships/boats with minimal collateral damage. Developed from 1966, it entered service with the USAF in August 1972. The AGM-65 has since been exported to 30 nations worldwide and certified on 25
aircraft.
