The UH-X is a utility helicopter developed by Subaru (formerly Fuji Heavy Industries) in cooperation with Bell to meet the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force requirement. It is an updated Bell 412EP platform for the UH-X programme. Over a 20-year period, the Japanese MoD is planning to purchase 150 UH-Xs to use for troop transport, disaster relief and utility missions. It completed its maiden flight in December
