The Ansat-U is a light, multipurpose, twin-engine helicopter designed and built by Kazan Helicopters. It is able to carry up to six fully equipped troops, and its proposed military roles include C2, CSAR, ground support and training. The first prototype flew on 17 August 1999 and received Russian certification in 2006. Testing was completed in December 2008, and production is underway for the Russian Air
