The twin-engine, multirole Super Lynx 300 is the latest production standard of the successful Lynx family, of which more than 450 have been built for military operators in 15 countries for land and maritime applications. Deliveries to the UK of the original Lynx began in 1977. Since the introduction of the Super Lynx 300 in the late 1990s, the type has been ordered by five customers primarily for naval
