The C-40 Clipper is the USN began replacing its ageing fleet of 29 McDonnell Douglas C-9B Skytrain aircraft in 1997 with the C-40A Clipper, a military version of the Boeing 737-700, and has received 15 C-40As to date with a further two on order.
