The An-140 is a light turboprop military transport aircraft developed from the An-140 regional airliner, which first flew in September 1997. It is designed to operate in a wide range of airfield altitudes and climate conditions and can use unpaved runways. Proposed roles include container freighter, ice patrol, fishing exploration, aerial photography and patrol. Antonov has also developed an An-140-100 variant with a larger
