The Yak-130 is a subsonic, two-seat advanced jet trainer/light attack aircraft that made its first flight in April 1996. It is the first Russian aircraft to feature all-digital avionics. An initial order for 12 examples to equip the Russian Air Force (RuAF) was placed in 2005, and 110 are now in service, with ten still on order for the Russian Naval Aviation.
