The SF-260 is a piston-engined or turboprop-powered screener/primary trainer that made its first flight in July 1964. It is a single-engine, low-mounted, cantilever-wing aircraft with a retractable tricycle undercarriage. While largely used for military training, it is also in use with professional flying schools. The platform has entered service with 33 different military customers and more than 900 SF-260s in all variants have been purchased. The fleet has accumulated over 1.9 million flight
