In June 2013, Leonardo and the Italian MoD signed a letter of intent to jointly define and develop the company’s new M-345 High-Efficiency Trainer (HET) basic/advanced trainer for the Italian Air Force. There are some physical similarities to the M-346, but the M-345 is a substantially smaller and less powerful
