The Tu-160 (NATO reporting name Blackjack) is a strategic bomber designed by Tupolev Design Bureau in Russia. The bomber was designed for the Russian Aerospace Forces as a response to the production of the B-1 Lancer in the US. The production of the Tu-160 began in 1987 and continued until 1992.
