The Su-34 (NATO reporting name Fullback), also known as the Su-27IB, is a two-seat multirole fighter-bomber aircraft designed for the Russian Air Force to replace its Su-24 Fencer. Its export version is called Su-32 (see separate entry). Full-rate production began in January 2008, after Sukhoi was awarded a contract to supply 140 Su-34s to the Russian MoD. The Su-34 is powered by two AL-31MF1
engines.
