The J-11B is a multirole fighter developed by China, based on the J-11 air superiority fighter, a licence-built version of the Russian Su-27. China introduced the reverse-engineered J-11B in 2004 and its trainer variant J-11BS in 2007. The early production J-11B was powered by two Russian Lyulka-Saturn AL-31F turbofan engines, which were replaced by two WS-10 Taihang turbofan engines in
2010.
