In early February 2014, Nexter delivered the last of 42 upgraded EBG-VAL (Engin Blindé du Génie Valorisé) armoured engineer vehicles to the French Army. The vehicle is designed to open obstructed routes and meant for clearance or destruction of miscellaneous obstacles and anti-mine protection. It also supports counter-mobility by laying small-mined zones, creating obstacles (banks, ditches, barricades) and by destroying

roads.
