The Thunder is a 4x4 mine-resistant armoured vehicle developed by Stark Motors of Qatar. More compact than the company’s Nomad mine-resistant armoured vehicle, it is better suited to operations in urban environments. Able to seat up to eight personnel, the Thunder has a custom-made monocoque hull offering blast protection in accordance with STANAG 4569 Level 3 standards and CEN 1063 BR7 standards of ballistic protection. Several variants of the Thunder have been proposed, including a standard APC, C2 vehicle and
observation vehicle.
