Unveiled in the form of a scale model at the 2017 IDET exhibition, the Wolfdog is the first AFV designed by Czech firm Zetor Engineering. It is intended to form the basis of an entire family of tracked vehicles that will be marketed to potential customers between 2020 and 2050. Weighing between 38 and 49t depending upon its configuration, in its IFV variant the Wolfdog can accommodate up to eight dismounts and can mount different weapon stations depending on customer requirements, including an unmanned turret armed
with a 30 or 35mm cannon. Although Zetor Engineering reportedly planned to offer the Wolfdog to the Czech Army as a contender for its BVP-2 IFV replacement programme, ultimately the platform did not participate in the competition.
