BMP-1AM

The BMP-1AM Basurmanin was developed by UVZ as an affordable upgrade of the Soviet-era BMP-1 tracked IFV, thousands of which continue to see service across the world. Intended to address the BMP-1s deficient firepower and refresh its obsolete subsystems, the upgrade centres around the installation of a new unmanned BPPU-1 turret borrowed from the BTR-82A. Armed with a 30mm cannon and featuring a day/night sight, this makes the BMP-1AM more versatile and more lethal than its predecessor. The BMP-1AM has entered
service with the Russian Armed Forces and the platform is also offered for export.
