The tracked Kurganets family was first seen publicly during rehearsals for the May Day 2015 parade in Moscow. The Kurganets family includes the B-10 APC, B-11 IFV and B-12 repair and recovery vehicle, with other variants expected. Although the vehicle was developed as a replacement for legacy BMP-series vehicles, the Russian Army has elected to prioritise the modernisation of its existing vehicles rather than procure new platforms under the GPV 2027 State Armaments Programme. Consequently, the serial production of

the Kurganets family has been pushed back beyond 2021.
