The tracked Kurganets family was first seen publicly during rehearsals for the May Day 2015 parade in Moscow. The Kurganets family includes the B-10 APC, B-11 IFV and B-12 repair and recovery vehicle, with other variants expected. Although the vehicle was developed as a replacement for legacy BMP-series vehicles, the Russian Army has elected to modernise its existing vehicles rather than procure new platforms under the GPV 2027 programme.
