The Next-Generation Amphibious IFV (NBPWP) Borsuk tracked infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) was developed by a consortium led by Huta Stalowa Wola (HSW) to meet a long-standing Polish Army requirement for a new tracked IFV platform to replace the legacy BWP-1 IFV. Intended to form the basis of both a light, amphibious IFV weighing under 30t and a heavier version weighing over 40t, 800 Borsuk IFVs could be produced for the Polish Army, in addition to as many as 800 specialised variants. A prototype of the light
version of the Borsuk was first unveiled at the MSPO exhibition in 2017. Few technical specifications concerning this platform have been unveiled, but it is planned to be equipped with a ZSSW-30 unmanned turret sporting a 30 or 40mm cannon, 7.62mm machine gun and a twin Spike LR ATGM launcher.
