The BTR-82AT is an upgraded version of the BTR-82A and BTR-82AM 8x8 IFVs developed for the Russian Army. Introduced in 2019, it features a new, more capable thermal imager for the TKN-4GA gunner’s sight, an updated fire control system and mounting points for bolt-on armour and slat armour to improve its survivability against heavy machine gun and shaped-charge projectiles. A tripod-mounted 9K129 Kornet ATGM launcher can also be carried inside the

vehicle.
