General Dynamics Land Systems displayed the LAV 700 for the first time at IDEX 2017, introducing it as the newest and most capable member of the Light Armoured Vehicle series. The design incorporates improvements proven in the LAV 6.0 upgrade of Canada's LAV III and the latest US Army Stryker variants, including enhanced protection, improved suspension, and a higher power-to-weight ratio. The LAV 700's 8x8 configuration offers operators a balance of strategic deployability and battlefield survivability suited to a
wide range of roles including IFV, direct fire support, mortar carrier, and command vehicle missions.
