The RG41 is a South African 8x8 armoured combat vehicle developed by Denel Vehicle Systems — formerly BAE Systems Land Systems South Africa — from 2008, with a prototype unveiled at Eurosatory 2010 fitted with the company's TRT-25 remote-controlled weapon station. The design prioritises combat power alongside mobility and protection for operational environments demanding high levels of lethality. The RG41 can be configured for multiple roles including IFV, direct fire support, mortar carrier, and command variant,
and its proven V-shaped hull geometry draws on South Africa's extensive experience in mine-protected vehicle design.
