The Mbombe 6 is the 6x6 version of the Mbombe family of armoured vehicles developed by South Africa’s Paramount Group. In order to drive down costs, the vehicle uses COTS components where possible. Its hull can withstand a 10kg mine blast and can be configured for different roles, including IFV, ambulance and command post. The vehicle is manufactured under licence by Kazakhstan Paramount Engineering (KPE) as the Barys 6 and by the Jordan Design and Development Bureau
(JODDB).
