The Sherpa Light is a three-door variant of Renault’s Sherpa tactical vehicle series designed to carry up to ten soldiers and their equipment. It can be armed with various pintle-mounted weapons or a remote-controlled weapon station. The Sherpa Light has modular and scalable ballistic protection according to CEN 1063 and STANAG 4569. The vehicle is air-transportable by C-130/A400M aircraft. As of mid-May 2020, 1,000 Sherpas of all variants had been
produced.
