The VBMR-L Serval is in February 2018, France’s DGA defence procurement agency selected Nexter, in partnership with Texelis, to develop and produce the 4x4 Lightweight Multi-Role Armoured Vehicle (VBMR-L) lightweight multirole armoured vehicle, the third new vehicle to be supplied under the umbrella of the French Army’s Scorpion modernisation project. Now known as Serval, this vehicle will replace some variants of the army’s 4x4 VAB APC, VLRA and P4 light
