The Double Eagle Sarov is an ROV/AUV hybrid platform designed to assist MCM operations. As a modular system, it can be reconfigured to suit different roles, including mine reconnaissance and mine disposal. In order to prolong the endurance of the platform, it can also be tethered to its host vessel, allowing the battery to be continually recharged while it carries out its mission. By pairing a tethered Double Eagle Sarov with an untethered Double Eagle Sarov, a wide operational area can be covered continuously,
with the two platforms swapping roles once the untethered system reaches low battery.
