Unmanned platforms
The Small Unmanned Ground Vehicle, previously designated the 310 SUGV, is a man-portable tracked robot designed primarily for explosive ordnance disposal missions, with secondary capability in reconnaissance and CBRN detection roles. Development began in 2007 and the first orders were placed in 2010. The SUGV's compact dimensions allow it to be carried by a single soldier and deployed rapidly in confined spaces such as buildings, tunnels, and vehicles where larger UGVs cannot operate, giving EOD teams a
lightweight forward tool for standoff inspection and disposal tasks.
